A new recreation center at Camp Anchor in Lido Beach has been dedicated to three camp counselors who were killed on their way to work several years ago.
Jamie Malone, Paige Malone and Michael Muhlall all worked at the camp for kids with special needs.
They died back in 2010 when their car hit a tree on the Meadowbrook Parkway.
The building was named for the counselors. It celebrated its grand opening today.
The $6 million rec center project was funded by the Town of Hempstead.
