Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman says crews are running into issues while trying to repair a giant sinkhole in Lido Beach.
He says only one lane in each direction is now going to be open on Lido Boulevard and that Loop Parkway were closed until 6 p.m. Friday so crews could work.
Blakeman says anyone going to Long Beach should go through Oceanside and Island Park. He says residents who live in Point Lookout or the eastern end of Lido Beach can still use Loop Parkway.
They will need to show police their driver's license.
