A Nassau father is raising asthma awareness in memory of his son.
Spencer Gause founded the Robert D. Gause Foundation after his young son, Robbie, died in 2001.
The annual Robbie’s Day event was held at the Martin Luther King Center in Long Beach.
Gause says the event brings the community together and promotes asthma awareness.
The event features haircuts, T-shirts, book bag giveaways, food and fun for the kids. Parents also get a chance to learn more about asthma.
