Multiple people were taken to the hospital, and homicide investigators were at the scene of an East Meadow home late Wednesday.

The incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. on Cooper Drive.

The street was completely shut down as police continued to investigate the scene as of 10 p.m. Wednesday.

It's not clear how many people were transported to the hospital. The conditions and ages of the victims are also unknown.

A woman who identified herself as the sister of the victim to police was seen visibly upset while talking to authorities.

Police gave that woman a dog that came out of the house.

She also talked about getting clothes and diaper for a baby.

It's not known if any arrests have been made in the case.
