The state Department of Labor has announced its top five trending jobs for the Long Island region for 2017. These jobs are likely to see greater-than-average growth in 2017 and typically offer wages that are above average, the department says.

The jobs were selected by labor market analysts based on occupational survey data and the projected needs of the region, the Labor Department said in a release.
