The SPCA Westchester says the kitten was hit with a broom stick.
News 12 was told that Erby Charlemagne, of Mount Vernon, then threw the 8-week-old kitten into a wall.
After being checked by a veterinarian, it was determined the kitten also suffered brain damage in the attack.
