Long Island is home to beautiful beaches and hundreds of acres of parks and preserves.
These are great places to get outside, enjoy nature and celebrate the 45th anniversary of Earth Day.
Many of these places are taking part in ecological events where you can help in beach and park cleanups.
Even though Earth Day is not until April 22, you can still participate in many events all month long where you can go outside and enjoy this planet!
