WHAT'S NEW: A storm system moves through Long Island Wednesday, bringing warmth and wind, but also rain. Heavy rain could impact the evening commute.
WHAT'S NEXT: After the storm system passes, cooler temps move in briefly before the next storm arrives on Saturday

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Addison Green says showers and windy conditions are expected Wednesday following a sunny Tuesday.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear skies with a chilly night ahead, but without windy conditions anymore. Lows: low 30s.
TUESDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy through the day. Temps will be near seasonable levels for the afternoon hours. Highs: upper 40s. Lows: upper 30s.
WEDNESDAY: Weather To Watch – Mostly cloudy to overcast through the morning rush then showers arrive around lunchtime. Moderate to heavy rain arrives during the beginning of the evening rush as winds pick up. Gusts could be around 45 mph that evening through the overnight hours. Highs: upper 50s to low 60s. Lows: mid 30s.
THURSDAY: Partly cloudy and breezy. Highs: mid 40s. Lows: upper 30s to low 30s.
FRIDAY: *Pick of the week* Mostly sunny and back to normal daytime highs. Highs: upper 40s. Lows: upper 30s.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance for rain. Highs: mid 50s. Lows: mid 30s.
SUNDAY: A mix of sun and clouds with a light wind. Highs: upper 40s. Lows: mid 30s.
