The medical examiner positively identified the bodies of a bride-to-be and her best man who were killed in a weekend boat crash on the Hudson River.

The Rockland County Medical Examiner says Lindsey Stewart and Mark Lennon both died from head injuries and drowning when the boat they were in struck a barge Friday night. They were thrown from the boat just south of the Tappan Zee Bridge.

The attorney for the man allegedly driving the boat, Jojo John, says his client is distraught. John has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and vehicular assault, and is currently being treated at Nyack Hospital.

Groom-to-be Brian Bond, who was also on the boat, suffered a head injury. He and Stewart were set to marry on August 10.

The body of best man Mark Lennon was recovered yesterday near the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Rockland County District Attorney Tom Zugibe says an investigation is ongoing.
