SHELTER ISLAND - A soldier from Shelter Island never returned to Fort Drum after his two-week leave ended more than a week ago.

Cameron Pendergrass' family tells several local North Fork newspapers that police and military officials are looking for Pendergrass in the Boston area. This may be because his father is based at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts.

News 12 is waiting to hear back from Fort Drum about what measures it is taking to find Pendergrass.
