Police are investigating a shooting in Soundview.
Authorities say that a 21-year-old man was shot in the leg at around 11 a.m. Friday.
It happened on Soundview Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard. Police and detectives blocked off the area as they investigated around the Sonia Sotomayor Houses for about an hour.
They went in and out of businesses asking for any surveillance video that may have caught the shooting.
Residents told News 12 The Bronx that they heard about five or six gunshots from their homes. Some say this is nothing new and that they are scared to walk the streets of their neighborhood.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, and he is expected to be OK. So far no arrests have been made.
