A man was fatally struck by a car Saturday evening in Lawrence.
Police say the victim, 55-year-old Richard Friedman, was struck by a BMW as he walked along Washington Avenue between Donmoor Road and Broadway.
Friedman was rushed to the hospital, but couldn't be saved.
Police say the driver remained at the scene.
