Police have filed hate charges against a man caught on video confronting a group of Black men in Stamford.

Police say Steven Dudek angrily berated the men about access to the Cove Island boat ramp on June 20.

The victims say Dudek called the police based on their skin color and eventually used pepper spray on them.

Dudek was charged with intimidation based on bigotry and biased, second-degree assault and falsely reporting an incident.
