Police are searching for the man they say has been stealing packages from a Morris Park resident.
Alminar Sagar says he is fed up with packages delivered to his home going missing.
Sagar recently installed a camera in front of his house, allowing police to obtain images of the suspect.
In a video captured on Sagar's surveillance video, the thief is seen waiting outside of his home, looking around then making his way past the gate door. He then walks up the stairs, opens the security door and helps himself to a box.
Sagar says once he got the notification from Amazon that the package was delivered, he went outside about a minute later and it was gone. He says Amazon's notifications are delayed by about 30 minutes and that this wasn't the first time this has happened to him.
"I refuse to be a victim in this. I want to feel safe at my home. I don't care if it's a $5 package or a $500 package. I want to be safe in my home with my family. I don't want criminals to come in and take advantage of that," says Sagar.
He says he moved to Morris Park after a bad experience living in Parkchester. He's lived there for three years and doesn't want to move again.
"I love the Bronx, I'm a big Yankees fan and I want to raise my family in the Bronx and feel safe about it," Sagar says. "So hopefully things are gonna get better."
Police say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
News 12 is told the suspect made off with some adapter cables worth around $50 and Amazon did issue a refund.
