Police say they have arrested a man in connection with the death of his girlfriend in Mastic yesterday.
Police say 35-year-old Justin Miller strangled 29-year-old Teresa Heredia to death inside the home they shared on Bullard Street around 11 a.m. during an argument.
The couple's 7-month-old daughter was unhurt in the incident, according to authorities.
Neighbors say Heredia, who was originally from Wantagh, also had another son from a previous relationship who wasn't home at the time of the incident.
Miller is charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bail.
