The housemate of a Monmouth County woman who went missing after a fire at their home will remain jailed until his trial on weapons charges and other counts.

A judge issued the ruling Monday during a detention hearing for 49-year-old Ronald Teschner.

The judge admonished Teschner multiple times during the hearing for outbursts he made during the session.

The Ocean Township home that Teschner shared with 65-year-old Jacquelin Terrulli and some of her relatives was gutted in the Sept. 12 fire. Authorities found Teschner the next day in Paterson, driving Terrulli's SUV with her shotguns and jewelry inside.

Monmouth County prosecutors sought Teschner's detention, citing his extensive criminal record. But Teschner's public defender said his client maintains his innocence.

Terrulli's family has said Teschner was her longtime friend and she had let him live at the house for about a month.

Authorities have not publicly said if Teschner had anything to do with Terrulli’s disappearance.
