Stamford police say a 50-year-old woman and an 52-year-old man were found dead in separate incidents on Saturday.

Authorities say Johanna Beatriz Navas-Gonzalez was found dead at a bus stop near 800 East Main St.

A man later identified as Francisco J. Diaz-Aquino was found dead near the softball fields of Cummings Park in a separate incident.

Investigators say there were no signs of foul play in either case as of Saturday night. Authorities, however, believe weather conditions may have been a contributing factor in both deaths. The medical examiner will complete autopsies to determine an official cause of death in both investigations.

The Stamford Police Department reminds residents that resources are available within the city for people who may be vulnerable to extreme weather conditions. Police urge anyone who may need assistance to reach out to the following services:

Assistance for men: Call 203-348-2792 and press 0, or contact the Stamford police non-emergency line at 203-977-4444.

Assistance for women or families: Call 211, or contact the Stamford police non-emergency line at 203-977-4444.

The Stamford Police Department also encourages residents to check on each other and reach out for help when it's needed.
