A New Jersey man says that the class ring that he lost in 1972 has finally been returned to him.

Dennis Aiello says that he lost his West Milford High School class ring when he was visiting Greenwood Lake in New York after graduation. After 45 years, he says he received a call from the school letting him know that it was found.

“When they were asking me to identify any property from ‘72 that I may have lost in regards to the high school, I said my high school ring. I identified it by saying the first two initials were together and then there's a space where my third initial [was],” Aiello says.

A woman from North Carolina had found the ring among her grandparents’ belongings. The woman said that her grandparents found the ring in Greenwood Lake, New York, where Aiello lost it.
