A Long Islander going for gold at the Tokyo Olympics came up short.

Kristine O’Brien, of Massapequa Park, was on the U.S. rowing team.

Unfortunately, Team USA came in fourth place, being beat out by China by a little over a second.

O’Brien’s parents say they and the community are incredibly proud of her.
