Many Long Islanders plan on celebrating Thanksgiving with a little shopping on Black Friday.

Roosevelt Field Mall will be opening at 8 p.m. tomorrow instead of midnight.

Nassau Community College Professor Jack Mandel says shoppers will have the upperhand during the 2013 holiday season thanks to multiple deal-finding apps available on smartphones.

He says the most deals offered on Black Friday are more than likely to be extended until Christmas on different websites like Amazon.com.
