LI psychic medium communicates with other side
A Long Island mom, psychic medium and author is now gaining some international fame.
Laura Lynne Jackson says she can predict the future and communicate with those who have passed. She currently lives in Commack, but commutes to Cold Spring Harbor, where she holds her readings and classes.
As a certified medium with the Forever Family Foundation, Jackson can volunteer to help those in grief. She also works with scientists as a research medium.
For nearly two decades, Jackson led a double life. She taught at Herricks High School by day and performed readings during her time off - many by phone.
Jackson kept her side work a secret, she says, because she didn't want it interfering with what she was doing in the classroom.
But last year, Jackson took a leave after she says she received a message to write a book, the now-titled "The Light Between Us." The book is "about our connection to one another here on Earth, and also to those we love across the other side," she says.
Jackson will speak about her book during a signing at the the Book Revue in Huntington at 7 p.m. Friday. After that, she will embark on her worldwide book tour.
