MELVILLE - Melville attorney Kenneth Mollins is filing a class action lawsuit against LIPA.

Mollins is asking the state inspector general to investigate LIPA and National Grid, accusing them of neglect and fraud.

Mollins says Long Islanders have continued to pay LIPA for service even after reports show the company was unprepared for a significant storm.

LIPA will not comment on the planned lawsuit.
