Laurel Hill students show support for troops overseas
Some second grade students in East Setauket showed their support for troops overseas Tuesday by writing letters of appreciation.
The Laurel Hill School students found inspiration from a classmate who has a parent in the military.
The students also collected items such as razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, food and other items.
They raised over $1,200 to pack more than 25 boxes and ship them overseas.
