Jewish families all over the city are celebrating Passover with the traditional seder.
The Chabad South Bronx held a seder in Mott Haven Friday.
Some focal points of the seder meal include drinking wine or grape juice to celebrate newfound freedom and eating bitter herbs and matzoh.
“Unleavened bread, when bread rises it represents the ego blown up,” says Rabbi Coli Mischulovin. “The flat bread is to remind us to remain humble.”
Another staple of the seder meal is the story of the Jewish peoples’ emancipation from Egypt.
