The New York Yankees have announced that they will honor Derek Jeter during a pregame ceremony on May 14, 2017.
The ceremony will include the retirement of Jeter's number 2 uniform and the unveiling of his Monument Park plaque.
Jeter will become the 22nd player in franchise history to have his number retired.
The Michigan native played his franchise-record 20th and final season with the Yankees in 2014.
