ISIS releases new threat against New York City
A new video released by ISIS warns that they are targeting New York, but city officials say we can't be intimidated.
In stills taken from the new ISIS propaganda video, you can see clips of Times Square and then a man wrapping a bomb in tape and putting it in his jacket.
In a press conference held last night, New York Police Department Commissioner Bill Bratton says the new video was quickly put together and shows no credible proof ISIS is trying to do anything other than scare us.
One expert from the New York areas says he thinks ISIS may be using the video as recruiting tool.
Homeland security expert Michael Balboni says, "Maybe they don't have cells here. Maybe they don't have that ability here, because you don't normally forecast that. Look what happened in Beirut, in the Sinai, and in Paris, there was no advance warning."
A previous ISIS video claimed Washington would be their next target.
With the holiday season near, Bratton says thousands of police officers will be posted at the Thanksgiving Day parade route.
In addition, Bratton says for the first time an extra 1,300 counterterrorism officers will be deployed.
The parade is the city's first big event since the Paris terror attacks.
