Groundbreaking on new Yankee Stadium imminent amid protest and debate
After a lot of debate and protest, groundbreaking for the new Yankee Stadium is set to begin.Opponents of the stadium say they will not give up their fight to block construction. They say the stadium will be detrimental to the environment and will continue their court battle during initial construction. The group Save Our Parks is also planning a demonstration during the groundbreaking.News 12 The Bronx will carry the ceremony live beginning at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
