Gas lines grow as snow approaches

Many Long Islanders are trying to fill up in case power outages create another gas shortage. (February 7, 2013)

PLAINVIEW - Gas lines are returning across Long Island as a major snowstorm approaches the area.

After the gas supply problems following Hurricane Sandy, many residents aren’t taking chances and are filling up their tanks and generators before the blizzard hits.

While the lines aren’t as long as they were after the hurricane, some gas stations are running out of fuel.
