A Fund the First campaign has been set up for an NYPD officer who suddenly lost his life after suffering a brain aneurysm.

NYPD Officer Mike Geraldi died this week. Geraldi suffered a brain aneurysm while on the job and was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital after he was found unconscious.

In honor of Geraldi, the Fund the First organization, which helps families of first responders, is raising money for Geraldi's wife and two kids.

Geraldi was a first responder and a family man who started the Strong Island Stangs Club on Long Island. The club brought thousands of muscle car lovers together.

His brother Jerry Geraldi says Mike was just such a wonderful man who brought happiness to all.

"I think his purpose here was bringing people together, he brought thousands together, and he really had a heart of gold," says Geraldi.
