A Bay Ridge restaurant is bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to Brooklyn.
Somethingreek has been a staple of the restaurant scene in Brooklyn since 2010.
Located on Third Avenue, the restaurant serves up classic Greek favorites like gyros and souvlaki and pita sandwiches.
Co-owner Anastasios Mitilineos was born in Brooklyn and he says he wants to transport his customers to Greece with every bite of food that they taste.
"When I'm in Greece at the tavern spots eating gyros, this is exactly the way we prepare the food here," Mitilineos says.
Mitilineos says he frequently travels to Greece to sample foods for new inspiration so he can bring them back to his restaurant in Brooklyn.
