A bar and bakery is serving up delicious drinks and delectable desserts.

Butter & Scotch on Franklin Avenue serves up everything from beers and brownies to cocktails and cake.

Owner Allison Kave say they wanted to open a bar and bakery that serves bright a colorful cocktails.

Kave says Butter & Scotch breaks the perception of a normal cocktail bar which is often viewed as being very masculine, serious, and having a self-important space vibe.

"We wanted to show that you can create drinks that are sort of really consciously girly and also balanced and delicious and varied and interesting. A dollar from every drink sold on the seasonal menu goes to Planned Parenthood," she says.

She says her establishment is a place women can have a drink and feel safe.
