After two days of testimony, the civil trial pitting Fotis Dulos against his missing estranged wife's mother has wrapped up.
Gloria Farber is suing Fotis Dulos for repayment of $2.5 million she says her late husband loaned him.
Richard Weinstein, Farber’s attorney, attacked Fotis Dulos' credibility during his cross-examination, pointing out Dulos' honesty on the stand was disputed during the pending divorce case.
“In fact, you were given certain instructions by the judge in the domestic case and you failed to follow the court’s instructions isn’t that true?” asked Weinstein.
Fotis Dulos testified that he “respectfully disagreed with the judge.”
Until this afternoon, Jennifer Dulos' name hadn't come up much in the civil trial, but Weinstein brought up the couple's bitter split.
“You’re claiming Gloria Farber should give you gifts after you were unfaithful to her daughter?” said Weinstein to Fotis Dulos.
Fotis Dulos testified the Farbers had a deal with him and Jennifer Dulos to give them money every year – one that he thought would continue even now.
Weinstein: “You expect Gloria Farber…to be giving you gifts, $14,000 a year, even after Jennifer is missing and you’ve been accused of criminal conduct in connection with her missing?”
Fotis Dulos: “I don’t expect anything, but I know what the agreement was.”
Fotis Dulos is charged with evidence tampering in connection to Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance in May. His criminal defense attorney Norm Pattis sat in on the trial the past two days and said he and Fotis Dulos were glad to see it over.
“Our position was and is that until the divorce, this was an extremely friendly and close transaction  and there is no money owed to Gloria Farber or her estate,” said Pattis. “I think she knows that, which explains why she didn't come here in support of the claim. She's instructed her lawyers to press.”
Fotis Dulos spoke briefly as he walked out of court saying he just wants to wish Jennifer Dulos and her family happy holidays, and he prays that they give his kids his love and best wishes.
