The town of Oyster Bay is teaming up with Empire State Ride Long Island to host a cycling fundraiser on June 8.
Former News 12 morning anchor Carol Silva, a two-time cancer survivor, will be presented the Courage Award at the event for helping the push to raise money for cancer research.
According to the town of Oyster Bay, the event has raised over $300,000 in the first three years of hosting the event.
This year, the fundraiser will benefit patients at Roswell Park Cancer Center and Catholic Health on Long Island.
Bikers will begin in downtown Oyster Bay and ride through beaches, woodlands and historic destinations.
The ride will feature three different course lengths for riders of all ages.
