Firefighters were called to an early Saturday morning townhouse fire in South Brunswick.

Officials say firefighters received a call before 6 a.m. to the fire on Cedar Court in the Whispering Woods Development.

Residents reported a smoke alarm going off.

The fire was contained to one building that contains 12 townhouses.

No injuries were reported.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
