LONG BEACH - ? Officials say the water in Long Beach is now safe to drink.

It has been nearly two weeks since the surge from Sandy knocked out the power and the water in Long Beach. Officials say residents should first flush out all their faucets and then run the water for 10 to 15 minutes before drinking.

LIPA is still working to get the power running in Long Beach.
