WOODBURY - If you want to go green on your daily drive to and from work, stick to the speed limit!

Experts say for every five miles you drive above 60 mph, it is the equivalent of paying 20 cents extra per gallon of gas.  They also say to spend time in traffic as ‘slow and go’ instead of ‘stop and go.’

And save even more on gas by turning off the engine. Idling for more than 10 seconds wastes more gas than is needed to start your car.

There are also tips on whether to use the air condition or open your windows. Experts say if you are driving at slower speeds, roll down the window; driving at speeds higher than 40 mph, crank up the AC.
