LINDENHURST - South Shore residents still picking up the pieces in the wake of Superstorm Sandy are keeping an eye on the tides as a nor'easter lashes Long Island.

Meteorologists say the storm is packing wind gusts of up to 60 mph, heavy rain, and some coastal flooding around high tide. It's bad news for residents of Lindenhurst who saw up to 5 feet of water rush into their coastal homes.

Residents who are staying in trailers and other temporary accommodations say they're hoping for the best with tonight's storm.
