CONEY ISLAND - Police say people who committed minor crimes during Hurricane Sandy are now being forced to clean up storm damage.

A total of 70 people who were given community service in Manhattan were sent to Coney Island last week.

Officials say those accused raked leaves, shoveled mud and collected more than 1,000 bags of trash and debris.

Prosecutors are said to be considering more Sandy related community service sentences.
