The celebration will kick off at the new concession stand at Islip Beach.

Islip Beach has reopened following the devastation of Sandy.

Officials say it cost $1.7 million to rebuild the beach.

A new restaurant, concession stand and bathrooms have been built at the beach.

State and town officials, along with community leaders were at the beach today for the opening of the new facilities.
