WESTBURY - FEMA says it will continue to pay Long Island Sandy victims' hotel bills for two more weeks, but some say that's not the case.

Kevin McGuinn, a Sandy victim confined to a wheelchair, says he doesn't have money to rebuild his home and needs FEMA's financial assistance just to stay at the Red Roof Inn in Westbury. McGuinn was told this afternoon that the hotel will kick him out on Sunday because FEMA is not renewing his hotel voucher for an additional 14 days.

FEMA officials said they could not comment on individual cases and could only say they're working one-on-one with everyone in the temporary hotel program.

McGuinn hopes to find out by Sunday if FEMA will renew his voucher. If not, he could find himself homeless.

FEMA says about 800 families on Long Island are staying at hotels until their permanent homes are repaired.
