Ellis Island museum reopens post-Sandy

The tour is the first time the museum has opened its doors since Hurricane Sandy surged into New York Harbor.

NEW YORK - For the first time since Sandy, visitors will now be able tour Ellis Island again.

The tour is the first time the museum has opened its doors since Hurricane Sandy surged into New York Harbor.

Officials say after one year, enough work has been done to reopen.

More than 1 million photographs and other artifacts will remain in storage until everything is fully repaired.
