Actor Billy Crystal and Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman teamed up to give back to the Long Beach community after superstorm Sandy. Crystal, a Long Beach native, and Lieberman, who grew up in nearby Far Rockaway, funded the restoration of two public basketball courts near the Long Beach Recreation Center in November 2013.

LONG BEACH - Billy Crystal was in his hometown of Long Beach today to unveil new basketball courts.

Crystal and Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman teamed up to give back to the community after Superstorm Sandy.

Last summer, Crystal and his wife Janice announced that they were donating $1 million to the City of Long Beach to help with recovery efforts. Some of that money went to building the Dream Courts.

Crystal says he's working on five or six other programs to help Long Beach. He expects to unveil them in the upcoming months.
