LYNBROOK - Youngsters at the Lynbrook Kindergarten Center turned into holiday construction workers Wednesday by building their own gingerbread houses.

A number of parents showed up to help with the sweet project.

After the houses were built, the teacher wrote a poem so the children would remember the experience.

The children took their structures home at the end of the day to share with their families.
