MASSAPEQUA - Is a visit to the gym included in your New Year's resolutions?

As 2015 comes to an end, today's Holiday Help segment is focusing on health and fitness for the New Year!

News 12's Christina Regnault visited Fit Club Pro Gym in Massapequa to get some health and fitness tips.

Jackie Moraitis from Fit Club Pro Gym says that instead of having a mixed drink, have a glass of champagne - which is only about 90 calories.

Moraitis says that many people don't keep their resolutions because they're bored. She says that people want a fun workout that won't bore them!

At Fit Club Pro Gym they offer a few fun exercises that everyone can try. Here are some examples:

Functional training helps you build strength on your body to relate to real-life activities - like pushing a shopping cart or a stroller.

Fit Club Pro Gym offers a quick 30-minute class that can help you work out your whole body.

The 'motion cage' keeps workouts fun and fresh.

Kickboxing, provides a full body cardio workout. It also has many other benefits - including stress relief.

The stair climbers at Fit Club Pro Gym have a program called famous steps that let you practice climbing the Eifel Tower or the Empire State Building.
