MANHATTAN - In perhaps one of the most fun fashion shows, celebrities donned their finest red dresses for The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2013 Fashion Show to kick off Fashion Week in New York City.

From stars of the small screen to an Olympic gold medalist, all the women strut their stuff on the runway to raise awareness for women’s heart health. The Heart Truth is a campaign for women about heart disease and is sponsored by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute. The centerpiece of the movement, the Red Dress, was introduced as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 by the group.

News 12’s Elisa DiStefano was in the middle of the action on the red carpet to find what gets their hearts pumping.
