BRIDGEHAMPTON - It's considered one of the biggest bashes of the summer in Bridgehampton and it brings out some of the biggest names in hip-hop. News 12's Elisa DiStefano was front and center at Russell Simons' annual Art of Life fundraiser.
From the first human beatbox Doug E. Fresh to the 'boss' Rick Ross, hip-hop heavyweights took the stage to support Simmons' event. For many who attend, it's the ultimate party with a purpose.
"This is my second year coming. This is a great cause; it's a lot of great energy," says Ross. "It's a lot of things being accomplished and so it's the type of crowd for me."
"The idea of giving people, underserved communities,...to practice and appreciate art is a meaningful one," says Simmons of the event.
This is the 15th year Simmons has held the Art for Life fundraiser.
