BABYLON - Have a ball, literally, at the beach. Cedar Beach in Babylon is filled with volleyball courts so you can keep fit while having fun.

According to the parks and recreation department, by 6 p.m. every night, the courts are packed with volleyball leagues looking to enjoy the sport in the sand. Officials say more than 1,000 people play in the East End Volleyball League at Cedar Beach.

And once the sun goes down, bands play on a nightly basis at the Beach Hut. The Beach Hut also features a variety of food and drinks for everyone.

Not quite up to speed in volleyball? Don’t worry, some teams are for beginners so everyone can get in on the fun.
