NORTHPORT - Love the movies but tired of heading indoors to enjoy one? Now you don’t have to. All summer long, parks across Long Island are showing free films outdoors!

In Freeport, Patio Restaurant offers free movies every Tuesday until October 1. A bit north, Eisenhower Park hosts family movie night at the Lakeside Theater in East Meadow on Thursdays. Don’t forget your blanket or chair!

In Port Washington, there are still two more free films left for Cinema on the Bays at Sunset Park. Next up, Annie on Saturday, July 27.

In Suffolk County, Tuesdays are also movie night in Port Jefferson. Movies on the Harbor at Harborfront Park feature lots of kid-friendly films, such as Brave and ET.

And for those who remember drive-ins, head to Crab Meadow Beach in the Town of Huntington for a trip back in time. On July 25 the town is showing Free Willy; on August 22, Superman with Christopher Reeve will be up on the big screen.
