WOODBURY - With school around the corner, it might be the unofficial end to summer, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to end! In the final part of our 12 Weeks of Summer series, News 12’s Elizabeth Hashagen shows us how to make the most out of the final days of summer!
Paddle boarding on the South Shore definitely doesn’t end when summer does. At LI Stand Up in Patchogue, they keep the boards in the water through October. They even offer foliage tours on the boards.
Why not learn to surf before the weather and water turns cold? Head to Skudin in Long Beach which offers group surf classes on the weekends through the end of September. They also offer semi-private or private lessons seven days a week all year round.
If the colder weather is keeping you out of the water, head to I Fly Trapeze in East Meadow to get in the air all the way through to October! Or stay grounded with a bike ride from Cedar Beach in Seaford to the east side of Jones Beach’s east bathhouse. The scenic five-mile ride brings you past a bunch of beach icons.
