Extra school security in Southold after 'unfounded threat'
Students at Southold's Junior-Senior High School can expect to see police on campus today.
Parents worried Wednesday after threats of violence at the school caused concerns on social media.
The superintendent of Southold schools says an investigation is underway, and that not all of the information posted online was true.
According to the Southold Police Department, police and school officials dealt with a dispute between two students, and comments started being passed on social media.
Police say they thoroughly investigated the comments and are confident that there is no threat to students or staff.
